Ambuliz is a French company revolutionizing patient flow management in healthcare facilities through its platform, Silbo. Founded in 2018 in Rennes, it provides a centralized decision-support tool that optimizes bed management, medical transport, and patient transfers. By streamlining patient journey planning and reducing administrative tasks, Ambuliz enhances hospital service efficiency. Backed by €1.1 million in funding in 2020, the company continues to expand its impact on healthcare logistics across Europe.

The design of Ambuliz’s management tool required a user-centered approach tailored to the real needs of hospitals. Addressing challenges related to space optimization and patient flow, a collaborative process involving all stakeholders helped develop an intuitive and connected product. In-depth interviews with end users guided each stage of the project, ensuring an interface suited to their environment and workflows. From architecture to UI choices, every detail—grids, spacing, table sizes, and buttons—was carefully considered to provide hospital staff with an efficient and seamless solution.
